At Sunsetdress, we aim to provide a clear, secure, and convenient checkout experience. This Payment Policy explains the accepted payment methods, currency display, pricing, payment authorization, billing verification, transaction security, refunds, and other payment-related terms that apply to orders placed through our website.
This Payment Policy applies to purchases made through https://www.sunsetdress.com/.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
Sunsetdress accepts the following payment methods when available during checkout:
Credit and Debit Cards
Digital Wallets
Alternative Payment Method
The payment methods displayed during checkout are the payment options currently available for the customer’s device, browser, location, currency, and order.
Some accelerated checkout or digital-wallet options may only appear on compatible devices or browsers. If a payment method is not displayed during checkout, it is not available for that particular transaction.
Payment must be successfully authorized before an order can be accepted and processed.
2. Currency and Pricing
Prices may be displayed in United States Dollars (USD) or another supported currency depending on the customer’s location, selected market, and website currency settings.
The final currency and amount charged will be clearly displayed during checkout before the customer submits the order.
The final order total may include:
Sunsetdress offers free standard shipping to supported destinations.
If an optional paid or expedited shipping service is available and selected, its cost will be displayed during checkout before payment is completed.
If a customer’s payment account uses a currency different from the checkout currency, the bank, card issuer, PayPal, or another payment provider may apply its own exchange rate, foreign-transaction fee, or currency-conversion fee.
These third-party fees are determined by the applicable payment provider and are not charged or controlled by Sunsetdress.
3. Payment Security
Our online store and checkout are operated through Shopify and supported third-party payment providers.
Payment information is transmitted and processed through the applicable secure checkout and payment systems.
Sunsetdress does not directly store complete credit card or debit card numbers or complete card security codes on its website or business systems.
Payment providers process payment information according to their own security procedures, privacy policies, terms, fraud-prevention systems, and applicable payment-industry requirements.
4. Billing Information
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate billing information during checkout.
Billing information may include:
The billing information entered during checkout should match the information associated with the selected payment method.
Incorrect, incomplete, or inconsistent billing information may result in a declined payment, additional verification, delayed processing, or order cancellation.
5. Payment Authorization
When an order is placed, the selected payment method may be authorized immediately.
Depending on the bank or payment provider, a temporary authorization hold or pending transaction may appear before the payment is fully completed.
An authorization hold does not always represent a completed charge. The payment provider determines when a pending authorization is completed, released, or removed.
An order may be reviewed, delayed, declined, or canceled if:
If an order is canceled for payment, availability, or security reasons, Sunsetdress will notify the customer by email when reasonably possible.
6. Payment and Fraud-Prevention Review
To protect customers and our store, orders may be reviewed using fraud-prevention, address-verification, identity-verification, and payment-security tools.
Sunsetdress may contact the customer to request additional information reasonably needed to verify an order.
We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order if requested verification cannot be completed or if we reasonably believe that the transaction is unauthorized, fraudulent, or presents an unacceptable payment risk.
7. Failed or Declined Payments
If a payment is declined, customers should:
Sunsetdress generally cannot override a payment decline issued by a bank, card issuer, digital wallet, PayPal, or another payment provider.
Orders with failed or declined payments will not be processed until a valid payment has been successfully authorized.
8. Order Confirmation
After an order is successfully submitted, an order-confirmation email should be sent to the email address provided during checkout.
The order-confirmation email confirms that Sunsetdress has received the order. It does not necessarily mean that payment review, order processing, fulfillment, or shipment has been completed.
Customers should review the confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if they notice an error involving:
We will make a reasonable effort to assist with correction requests, but changes cannot be guaranteed after an order has entered processing, fulfillment, or shipment.
9. Taxes and International Charges
Applicable sales tax or other government charges may be calculated based on the order destination, product, and applicable law.
Any tax collected by Sunsetdress will be displayed during checkout before the customer submits payment.
International orders may also be subject to customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless these charges are clearly collected during checkout, they are generally determined by local authorities and are the recipient’s responsibility.
Customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and other charges imposed after purchase are not controlled by Sunsetdress.
10. Discounts and Promotional Codes
Promotional codes must be entered or applied during checkout before the order is completed.
Promotions may be subject to:
The applicable promotion terms will govern the use of each discount.
Unless otherwise stated, discounts cannot be added retroactively after an order has been submitted.
11. Duplicate or Pending Charges
A temporary authorization hold may sometimes appear alongside a completed transaction. This does not necessarily mean that the customer has been charged twice.
If a customer believes that two completed charges were processed for the same order, the customer should contact Sunsetdress and provide:
Customers may also need to contact their bank, card issuer, PayPal, or other payment provider to confirm whether a transaction is pending, completed, reversed, or duplicated.
12. Order Cancellations
Customers may request an order cancellation by contacting Sunsetdress as soon as possible.
Cancellation requests are not guaranteed after an order has entered processing, fulfillment, or shipment.
If an order is successfully canceled after payment has been captured, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
If an order can no longer be canceled, the customer may request a return after delivery, subject to our Return & Refund Policy.
13. Refunds
Refund eligibility is determined according to our Return & Refund Policy.
After an authorized return is received and inspected, Sunsetdress reviews and issues an approved refund within 1–3 business days.
Approved refunds are generally issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
After a refund is issued, the customer’s bank, card issuer, PayPal, or another payment provider may require additional processing time before the funds appear in the customer’s account.
This additional processing period is controlled by the payment provider and is outside Sunsetdress’s direct control.
If the original payment method is no longer available, customers should contact the applicable payment provider for assistance.
14. Canceled Orders and Authorization Holds
If an order is canceled before payment is fully captured, the payment provider may release the temporary authorization rather than issue a separate refund.
The time required for an authorization hold to disappear is determined by the customer’s bank, card issuer, PayPal, or other payment provider.
Sunsetdress cannot manually control or accelerate the release of a payment provider’s authorization hold.
15. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If a customer believes that a charge is incorrect, unauthorized, duplicated, or otherwise associated with an unresolved order issue, the customer should contact Sunsetdress so that we can review the concern.
Submitting a chargeback or payment dispute may delay direct resolution while the bank, card issuer, PayPal, or another payment provider investigates the transaction.
Customers should provide truthful and complete information when submitting a payment dispute.
Sunsetdress may provide order records, payment information, delivery tracking, customer communications, and other relevant evidence to the applicable payment provider when responding to a dispute.
Contacting Sunsetdress does not limit any rights that a customer may have under applicable law or the applicable payment provider’s rules.
16. Payment Policy Updates
Sunsetdress may update this Payment Policy when payment methods, checkout systems, business practices, legal requirements, or payment-provider procedures change.
The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Payment methods available during checkout may change without prior notice based on provider availability, customer location, device compatibility, currency, or transaction eligibility.
