Finding the right hat size online can be challenging. This Size Guide is designed to help Sunsetdress customers compare their head measurements with the available size options before placing an order.
Fit may vary depending on the hat’s shape, crown depth, material, internal band, closure, and overall construction. Always review the size options and fit information shown on the individual product page.
Important Sizing Information
Many Sunsetdress products are offered in Small, Classic, and XL. The term “Classic” is a product-specific size name and should not automatically be interpreted as Medium or Large.
Some hat styles may have different measurement ranges even when they use the same size names. Product-specific information takes priority over the general guidance on this page.
Structured and Trucker Hat Fit
The following general ranges may apply to selected structured and trucker-style hats, including certain A-Game, Odysea, Coronado, and similar styles:

Relaxed and Strapback Hat Fit
Selected relaxed or strapback styles, including certain Legend-style hats, may use the following general ranges:

One Size and Adjustable Styles
An adjustable closure does not necessarily mean that a hat is offered in only one size. Some adjustable hats are still sold in Small, Classic, and XL.
If a product is specifically listed as One Size, OS, or OSFM, review the measurement range shown on that product page. Do not apply the Small, Classic, and XL charts to a product that uses a separate One Size system.
If no product-specific One Size measurement is displayed, contact Sunsetdress before ordering rather than assuming a universal fit range.
How to Measure Your Head
- Use a soft measuring tape.
- Wrap the tape horizontally around the widest part of your head.
- Position the tape above your eyebrows and ears and around the back of your head.
- Keep the tape comfortably snug without pulling it too tightly.
- Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
- Compare the measurement with the applicable chart and the information on the product page.
If you do not have a soft measuring tape, wrap a non-stretch string around your head and mark where the ends meet. Lay the string flat beside a ruler to determine the measurement.
Choosing Between Sizes
If your measurement falls between two sizes, review the product’s closure type and fit description.
For fitted or less-adjustable styles, selecting the larger size may provide a more comfortable fit. Adjustable closures may provide additional flexibility, but the available adjustment range varies by product.
